Was wondering how long roughly do they last ive noticed mine is getting alot of dust and lint stuck all around the edges of the screen protector and near the speakers .. nothing major but its annoying to have dust all around the border of the screen that can easily transfer to either joycons or any other edging on the switch console

I have had mine on since July last year and earlier this month a tiny (rn than a millimeter) discoloration due to the protector lifting has formed on the edge. So I'll probably have to replace it in like two or three months.
So far I have never encountered dust getting stuck on the edge of the glass or under it, not on my switch or my phone. But I definitely have to dig lint out of my phone's charging port every few weeks.

Its not trapped underneath but all along the edges of the film so its doing its job keeping dust out but i dont like all the build up gonna order a multi pack.. i have a ps vita with one thats been on for over 3years lol .. thnx for replies.. also ive read playing docked after installing screen protector can cause bubbles.best to let it sit over nite..i bought my switched used and i didnt apply this current one... thnx for replies

Mine is lifting in small parts I think because of the heat the screen recived or just normal because of time I was thinking the duration of the protector it was more than a year but it's not I guess

I put a tempered glass screen protector on my Switch and haven't had any issues with dust, peeling, bubbles, nor discoloration. I've had it on since I got the console (just about a year now), too.

I personally despise all of the film screen protectors, I've never found a film screen protector that I actually liked-- regardless of how carefully I wiped my screen beforehand, how carefully I've lined it up, those cheap pieces of plastic have always bubbled up on me. Started using tempered glass when I got my iPhone 4S and never looked back, they've become my go-to no matter what the device.

i would also suggest to switch to a glass screen protector (watch a tutorial on how to apply it, as its a little different compared to foils)

they do have a habit to look a little weird near the lower edge (below the screen, in the black bezzle) if your switch heats up too much, but they still stick to it perfectly and they don't scratch up at all

What brand would you recommend .? For the tempered glass protector..?

Is it as its name indicates actually slim film of glass...?

It's actually more comparable to a slim sheet of it rather than a film. It's completely rigid.

I got mine at Walmart, but I don't quite remember the brand of it. Some off third-party that didn't stick with me. If you just browse on Amazon, you're sure to find a good one within the $7-$10 range.

I'm still using the protection I bought on launch day. A few hairline marks, but the purpose is the protect whats underneath the protector so it's still doing its job.

Mine is there since Switch Launch Day. It's scratchy because of the dock, but nothing bad, I can live with it, I clean the dust from speakers with a light brush and it works great, in fact, I clean the dust from my 3DS and other consoles with this brush, getting excellent results on places that are hard to reach.

Just to throw my two cents in; I bought the Switch when it first came out and installed a tempered glass screen protector and have never replaced it. It still looks as good as new.
