Hacking How much to leave for saves?

I just got a Transcend 80x 2GB minisd to go with the M3 Mini SD and passcard 3 I just ordered. I have the Transcend card now so started loading games on it that way when my M3 Mini SD arrives I can start playing. Only think I have not been able to find out is how full can I make the card? Do you leave like 100 megs on it for saves or more? I dont know how much space saves take up? If I have like 33 games on it how much room for saves? Thanks guys very new to this.

DS save games take up 257KB each, and gba ones take up 1MB each.so if u have 33 ds games, u would need to save a little over 8MB of space.

at least that is how it is with a M3 CF... I would think the SD and mini sd versions would be the same.

If you use the software to load the roms to the card(which you will have to do anyway), it will automatically make a blank save file of the right size for you.

Ahh thanks good to know. So I guess I will put more on since I have 500 megs free
