Hacking How many people with N3DS"s are still waiting for Gateway, or have you moved on?

I'm very patient. I have other 3ds systems to utilize gateway while I wait.
I don't really want to use my MM N3DS anyways.

You are waaay too optimistic regarding them. If I was you I would consider them in the same boat as GW but with more possible bricks then them.

NO! You....simplydon'tunderstand......HOW can I .......make you understand the need, the.....thirst....the UNFILLABLE VOID that gateway threads exist only to quench.
There simply MUST be....a Gateway thread for without such how would we...how Could we know that the promised update has......not arrived?
There-must-be-a...... landing pad for the information; Some place for us to look and say "This is where we would keep our precious Gateway Update

Honestly I'm holding out for KARL3DS + Sky. Put cubic ninja on sky and run ninjhaxs (I think that's possible?) then make an emunand with KARL3DS, then use KARL3DS for anything homebrew and use sky on the emunand when you want to play games. All the benefits of gateway without a gateway. Assuming the KARL3DS team doesn't find some way to block sky from running.

So ya, I'm not updating my console but I'm looking at other options than gateway

Not really, the only thing you would gain is region free, emuNAND and homebrew. Ill get a CN and patiently wait for someone to make a CFW without any restrictions or for GW to release. But KARL3DS in terms of functionality only offers region free and homebrew which is far less than some people need. Until someone steps up and makes a CFW with a ROM dump function and .cia installation were basically screwed and bound by Flashcard manufactures.

thats why I said the "+sky" part. Apparently KARL will let you run your legit cards so unless they block it that means it can run sky. The only thing you wouldn't actually get is .cia installs.

Well, rom hacks are still up in the air, I presume that would be a feature worked on further down the line......unless they hold off release until they have everything implemented

Sky does not work for me since all my games are in physical form, so unless they decide to make a Game dump function its something that I dont need ATM. .cia installation would be also nice if lets say Sky gets blocked to remove the restriction like the timewarp .cia on the O3DS.

Once it's released, there will be. KARL is going to have a much shorter Dev time due to not caring about a universal exploit, and only going through cubic ninja.

Ofc, you still have to remain on 9.2 or less.

I'm waiting for WaitWay even though I really don't have to - I've got a Sky3DS and I'm happy with it. That being said, I want to be able to dump my NAND, make backups of my cartridges etc. and unfortunately Sky3DS just doesn't offer this kind of functionality due to the nature of how it operates, so it's either Gateway or a custom firmware and neither is available on the N3DS right now. With the above in mind, I'm rooting for a release, but being aware of all the changes that were implemented in the N3DS browser, I don't think it's coming anytime soon.

Because all the previous confirmations by SonyUSA and garyopa were accurate and dependable. They're alive and fine, it's just that Nintendo sort of spoiled their fun with the new browser and they need a new entry vector which will take time to find.
