I don't care. Rome went through wars, Greece went through wars, the cold war happened, the vietnam confict, etc. But worrying about this stuff isn't good for anyone. I'll do what I've always done; follow the Truth and dismiss the pointless political "Crips vs. Bloods" nonsense between the two popular views in many forms of politics.

Why no 2025? It seems a lot more likely than 2035.

But okay... Perhaps I'm too pessimistic. With Trump imploding the USA, the EU will have to step up to aid ukraine. It'll remains to be seen whether it'll be successful, but i don't think the USA or China will join that fight. China might take Taiwan, but won't meddle in that conflict. And the US isn't serious in its approach. A civil war is far more likely than taking Greenland or any other territories that Trump units in their hatred for him. Aka: at most different new wars, but not a global conflict.

I don’t know when or if, but I am immune regardless. I honestly hold one position

1) "never" and "I don't know" are the only answers that don't include 2025.
2) Like they should have from the beginning. WTF should we be doing more than their neighbors?

1) it's implied'when does it 'start'
2) the us doesn't currently do more than the EU (source: https://www.ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-against-ukraine/ukraine-support-tracker/). But the current average of around 40% is most likely going to drop to zero. But if you want to nitpick: sure. I should've said 'the EU will have to step up MORE'. Happy now?

And exactly who would set off World War 3?

Russia? The same Russia that we all need to fear, but have had a hard time invading a nation like Ukraine, that can't really be called a nation with a great army. The same Russia, which the new reported uses World War 2 tanks and weapons, and have been drafting elderly and handicapped people to it's army? Russia is great for propaganda, but nothing to be afraid off. Oh, they have nukes? If those were effective, they would have used them years ago. Pretty sure most nukes would be bombed, before they could leave their own airspace.

Or China? China to which every country in the world has debt too? China that pretty much already owns the world. Seems unlikely they would start a war.

So no, I do not think a traditional WW 3 is likely at all. Sure, a lot of scare tactics, but there are very few real threats. Maybe some Islamic countries, but those won't really grow beyond the terroristic attacks we've had so far.

1) No. “BY” means exactly that. Anytime between now and then, but not after. Interchangeable with “before”. Frankly, it’s a poorly worded poll (and that’s the best that can be said about it.

2) Still don’t care. Sending billions to Ukraine while having a spending deficit in the trillions, and homeless citizens, is batshit crazy.

And as for the reply below yours… yes, Nukes is the VERY VALID reason why nobody messes with Russia. Putin is dumb enough to use them. They wouldn’t stand a chance against the US in a conventional battle, and he would know that a successful nuke strike would be the only possible path to victory. This is why direct involvement by us would be very bad for the world, and why Biden was a damn idiot when he authorized the use of our missiles. Anyone with a brain does NOT want us in the middle of it.

Never, because we're in the age of proxy wars. Civil war in western countries seems more likely and probably more devastating for that country.

You forgot that nuclear weapons are on the table if Russia picked on someone larger than that.

the earth is overcrowded time to format
no it's not, we just need to fuck off with that infinite growth & induced demand & throw away half the shit we make (including food) crap. I don't care if it's socialism or some non-shitty version of capitalism, but this one isn't sustainable.

It is highly unlikely to happen within our lifetimes. Nuclear arsenals make a pretty good deterrent to full scale global war.

The most likely scenario will be the balkanization of North America and possibly of Europe. Post 1960s immigration reform has made that inevitable. Europe may still save themselves as their demographic death spiral is not as pronounced as the US and Canada's and in many European countries they has a been a recent surge in anti-immigration popularity and political will. Us and Canada on the other hand as stated I think it's already too late for them. Also the banking and corporate establishment has too much of a grip on American politics and power in general for Americans to turn ship now even if they do gain the political will (With I think clearly now they do have that will)

I think it's an inevitability considering human nature is to take and destroy. When that happens I don't know. Pretty good idea who will start it though.

The issue is that everyone is too scared actually use nuclear weapons. Anyone who pulls one out is practically commiting suicide. Even in a major war no one would pull the trigger.

Yes exactly. That is what I was trying to point out. That there mere existence acts as a deterrent. If a country were to a launch a nuclear strike there are defensive systems in place to counter that with other countries own counter-assaults and they are largely automated. Pretty much if a country were to launch a nuclear strike, particularly a country with a large arsenal against another country with a large arsenal it would mean the end of the world as we know it.

But my point is that the threat cancels itself out. No one wants to use them so they practically don't exist.

Let's try to be optimistic: The risk of war is actually decreasing now that we Europeans are winning each day thanks to the orange turd in the white house.

1. Our defense sector is exploding right now thanks to the US being finally seen as what they are right now: a traitor of democracy and western values and an unreliable partner
2. Trump managed to do what no-one ever was able to: he united our continent. Europe is finally back in business as we now finally can clearly see who is our enemies
3. Atomic nukes are most likely soon sent to being stationed in Germany ... from France, and UK will most likely follow in the frenchies steps, too. This would never have been possible without the GOP, DJT and Elon Musk
4. Our economy will rise to strength again due to the stupid tariffs DJT is putting in place. The world will reach out to Europe because we are now a more stable anchor than the USA. Just watch the stock markets for the next weeks, months and years
5. Elon Musk endorsing the German far-right wing party AFD is actually one of the reasons why they haven't won more votes. They still have too many, but when did Elon Musk ever understood when he had to shut his mouth?

I just cannot get tired of wining each day. Today most of the world's countries voted against the US UN-resolution and stepped into line with the EU. That has been the final tipping point: everyone knows who's the most lunatic maniac psychopath nowadays: it's the orange turd, and no matter what he does he never get rid of that smelly stain of his own and history will remember him at was he actually is: a spoiled little nepo baby turned into an Russian asset that is selling out his own country and admires dictators around the world because he's so weak but wants to be so strong.

Europe will bring stability to this world again. United we stand and say fuck you to fascists and dictators. Man it feels great to be on the winning team, even it it came totally unexpected.
