Hello, given the latest wiiu news, how far are hackers from creating a USB loader homebrew, with fat32 fs? Can the usb be accessed atm?

Personally, I think we'd benefit more from EXFAT if it were to happen where we could use USB loader without using Nintendo's proprietary format....or at least maybe now that we have gotten so deep into the Wii U system, possibly come up with drivers for PC/Mac/Linux to read/write to a Wii U formatted drive...

two priorities:
1 - they need to find boot1 exploit for early coldboot access
2 - they need to find something like 3ds a9 exploiut, where there is brick recovery like wii had priiloader and bootmii

Iosu is believed to not support non-proprietary-format usb drives, so not only loadiine (with all its disadvantages) would need to be edited to load from usb, but a fat driver needs to be ported first

Not entirely true. Yes, the WiiU cannot read from Fat32 USB Drives it can however read Fat32 SD Cards so the driver is already part of the system. It would just need hooking into in some manner that would allow Loadiine or another loader access to it.
