Hi

I wanna extract some models from certain 3ds game but I have no practise with it and I'd need a tutorial. I know here are some (/threads/extracting-models-and-textures-from-3ds-games.370788/ and /threads/how-to-extract-3d-models-from-decrypted-rom.441125/) but I think there's no enough information I understand... so, the last thing I could do is getting the DecryptedROMFS.bin thanks to HackingToolkit9DS (work by Asia81). After that I got too many ".bin" files and I think these must contain the 3d models I want.

So, at this point, what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

bump. I still wanna know it.
You should get a folder named ExtractedRomfs in the same location as your .bin files. If you didn't get that folder probably means that your ROM is decrypted. As I found out myself HackingToolkit9DS doesn't work with decrypted ROMs and tries to decrypt them, which messes everything up. You should try HackingToolkit3DS. You can find it on the GitHub release page for HackingToolkit9DS if you scroll a little bit further down the page

I don't understand. I got that ExtractedRomfs folder and so many binary files inside (around 1275 files) from a clean rom. By the way, I used HackinToolkit9DS to extract things and HackingToolkit3DS is a lower version. I wanna know how can I extract the models/textures from these binary files in 3d format.

What is the game you're trying to rip models from?

Laberynth No Kanata, a non-released out Japan game from Konami.
Well, what is the format of the models? If you're saying that all files are in .bin you can try to identify their format by looking at the header(you can use a hex editor for that). The game probably uses some proprietary format and probably has everything compressed or packed into archives. If you want to ask people, who are qualifyed in model ripping you can ask on vg-resource.com

Ok, I will ask vg-resource forums for help. I am learning about videogames and I wanted to extract some models from that game to rig them or understand how they work.
Thanks for answering me.
