I have written the code by myself from scratch. So it is my code and Nintendo have no rights on it (and they never owned the code of Gamespy). It was possible by watching the traffic only (since 2012), and that's absolute legal in Europe, especially for a discontinued service.
So I see not any problem even If I will make profit.
However, the replacement code is only about 10-15% (or less?) of Wiimmfi. And it is simple query+response code and at MASTER+MS (biggest part of replacement code) is like simple SQL. SAMBA is much more complex, and also allowed worldwide.
But most of the code is based at our ideas: OPENHOST, Wiimmfi portal, ban system, live statistics, region statistics, friend code converter, the coming room watch, mkw-ana connection, and much more.
