I bought a 3DS on eBay, but I'm not sure if I want to open it. I got it for a good price, so I'm looking to make some money on it. Do games look pixelated? If the games look okay, I might keep it. The games I'm playing right now are NSMB 2, Tales of the Abyss, Cave Story, Mario Kart, Kingdom Hearts and I might be buying Heroes of Ruin.

Shoot -_- grammar error in title. Could a mod change to "How do the 3DS XL screens look?"? Thanks in advance.

For me, the screens are very nice with 3DS native games. The DPI is the same as on DSi screens, for example.
And because of 3D mode you need to keep the console not very close to eyes, so there is no problem with pixels.
DS games are also looks fine, especially on 1:1 mode.

I've noticed a bit more ghosting then I did on the smaller 3DS, but I suppose that's just my stupid eyes.

Although, I have noticed that the ghosting never goes away. I can close one eye, and one screen looks just fine, but the other has the ghosting images regardless how I move it. Always... That tells me that either the 3D screen on the XL is defective, meant to do that, or the ghosting is BUILT INTO the games. Why would anyone do that!?

I myself have not seen much of a difference in quality with the 3DS XL. I would say though, it's a lot more comfortable to the eye with the larger screens. You should definitely check Kingdom Hearts on the big screen, it looks PREWTTY!!!

I must say in the short time I had mine (getting it replaced because of a dead pixel smack bang in the middle) the screen really shows off the vibrant nature of the games. I found little to no ghosting when I played Super Mario 3D Land and there's little glare. 3D however, there's not much difference in depth, but it has the illusion of being more prominent. Which may mean it's better.

I only tested one game, but thus far, the screen seems to be a lot better.

The speakers though, don't seem as loud as the normal 3DS. I have to check again, but I couldn't remember it being loud.
