ROM Hack How do you replace sprites in GBA?

How do I replace a sprite in a game?? For example, I want to change some sprites around in Shining force: Resurrection of the dark dragon from my main character MAX to the sprites of Cain.

I'm talking about the mini-Character sprites (not the big in-battle sprites)...

how do I go about doing this? Is it possible to use YY-CHR? Or a program called tilemolester? Those are the closest guesses an hour long google search got me.. Maybe someone can help me out? Thanks

Thanks mate! It's worth a look for sure... I know they have a program for pokemon games, that make sprite replacement VERY easy.. it just doesn't seem to work with any game BESIDE pokemon. Thanks for the link!
