Hacking How do you make Flashcarts?

Surely it couldn't be that hard to make a simple DS flashcart...?

I think it would be very challenging. The advanced curcuits, etc. I would rather just buy a flash card.

Its not really that complicated tbh...

All you need is a IQ of 128+

You would have to make the hardware (advanced circuts), bootloader (to bypass flashcart protection), loader (to emulate a cartradge), menu (so you can launch a game), etc.

Yeah there's allot going on behind the scenes that these card manufactures have to go through to create such epic carts like the Super Card DSTWO and Ackekard 2i.

Its relative simple to make an Flashcard, but the rly question is, what should the Flashcard do?

You can make an Slot2 Flashcard without any IC's but you must use an Slot1 Flashcard or WiFiMe to use it

It's not that hard, really. All you need is a semi-conductor manufacturing plant in your backyard.

All you need is the electrical design of it, then you send those plans to a factory in China and they'll manufacture them for you.

Flashcarts are only illegal in the U.K. Having them in the U.S. is perfectly legal. Also, not all ROMs are illegal otherwise homebrew wouldn't be legal.
