I want to listen to my music on my DS but don't want to get rid of AKAIO. Can I use moonshell and AKAIO 1.6 RC2? If not, what other homebrew can I use to listen to my music? My card is the acekard 2i

Moonshell is not a firmware replacement; it's run as an nds file, so you would load it from AKAIO. Just download it and put it on your card.

I believe Cannnonfodr had a MAIO, Moonshell 2.10 beta9 with a plugin to use AKAIO 1.5.1 to load ROMs within Moonshell2. Check the homebrew section.
