I've been trying to do this for 2 hours now. I flashed my BenQ drive with 1.6 iXtreme firmware, but I can't get Windows to recognize it. I've tried every possible method of the half open tray. None worked. I even tried flashing it with the specially made 0800 firmware, but that didn't work either. Jungleflasher recognizes my drive, but XBC can't see it. I have the latest XBC (2.9) that has support for 1.6 dumping, so no problems there. Has anyone gotten this to work? If so, can you please describe in detail what you did? Thanks.
EDIT: When I try rebooting my PC, it won't boot into Windows with my drive connected to SATA. Why is this?
EDIT 2: I finally got this to work. I went into device manager and scanned for hardware changes. It found my drive, installed the drivers, and now I'm making a backup as I write this. Thank god!!
