Hacking How do I Get Newer on a Cartridge.

Is there a way to get Newer Super Mario Bros. DS on a cartridge?

I don't care if I have to use a flashcart.

I want it to boot directly into the game when I open it, not into a flashcart menu.

I don't care if the picture on the home screen doesn't match with the game.

I am using a new 2DS XL with cfw. (I would prefer a method of custom cartridges that works without cfw, but if it only works with cfw then that's fine)

I used this base rom and patched it with the v1.07 update. The output romhack was (Size: 28.3 MB - CRC32: EEA1F5F7).

The game works fine in both my DS flashcart and on TWiLight Menu++ in a brief 1st stage play through. Saving works on both.

Certain flashcard kernels (including Wood and YSMenu) can autorun a file in an appropriate path - that's the best you're going to get unless you can find a cooperative manufacturer of bootleg cards (which for the DS is a mostly dead art as most multicarts are literally a bottom barrel flashcard with the microSD taped over)

Not happening. The closest you can get is a flashcard.
I'd recommend you to get a clean ROM (I will not provide ANY links for copyright reasons), download and install TWiLight Menu++, patch the ROM with Newer, and run it from your SD Card. Things are easier and faster this way.
