Hacking Question How do I avoid getting banned?

I've been reading that even if you stay offline, there's a chance to get banned? Specifically I'm looking at SX OS but everything I'm seeing indicates that getting banned is super likely. Are bans account-based or hardware-based? Thanks and sorry for the noob questions

Please do not make a new thread for every question related to the banning process as it creates unnecessary clutter that nobody likes, not to mention that we already have a pinned thread that handles this type of content.

To answer your question, either buy a second Switch or don't go online with a hacked console. Simple.

Don't hack your console. Just as @Draxzelex said.

That way I can guarantee 100% that you won't be banned.
