i've been having trouble trying to input it because it has letters and columns

That is an IPv6 address, 3DS only supports IPv4... You'll need to find the IPv4 address of your router, should be something like 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 etc

In your PC, press Windows simbol + r, write cmd and press enter, in the cmd (the black screen), type "ipconfig /all" without the brackets, and search default Gateway. Remember the numbers and put on 3Ds
