ROM Hack How can I extract text from a DS game?

So yeah, how can I extract text from a DS game? (a japanese game)

I downloaded DSLazy and tried to use it but it unpacked some weird files (arm7, arm9... etc)

can someone help me? thanks

Hate to break it to you, but nothing's wrong with those files. They aren't "weird" they're what a game looks like from the inside.

If you think those files are weird, your best bet is to learn romhacking before going any further.
Romhacking is more than just dumping text. Rydian gave you a link, it's best to use it.

So many people think translating a game is simply a matter of extracting the ROM, finding the text file, running it through Google Translate and repacking...

Thank God it's so much more complicated than that.
The more I see people relying on Google Translate or thinking romhacking is that simple, the less I have hope for humanity.
