Chow Yun Fat is bad ass, not the best role for him but ya know.

The movie is more for those that were not into the manga/show because if it was it would be a b movie hands down. Its big but not as big as one would hope, DBZ is a lot bigger than DB.

The movie is for teens that didnt grow up with Dragon Ball

Never expected it to be good, especially since Akira Toriyama (creator of DB) denied any involvement in the live action movie.
My mate owns every box set of the anime, some 1 or 2000+ dollars worth and refuses to watch Evolution so it isn't ruined for him. It is for me what is going to happen to S.Darko, the unofficial sequel to Donnie Darko which the original writer denies involvement in and which all people who enjoyed the first one will probably refuse to watch.

My son is a DB/DBZ etc nut and watches everything he can on the series .. he took one look at the trailer for this laughed and said "THANKS but NO THANKS! its just marketing hype it looks LAME and pretty CRAPPY!"

The whole point of this film was to get away from manga and try to bring in a new light to DB, the games are sucky now and DB:GT was a pile of shit, it a franchise that is dying so they trying to milk it, i'll still watch it even tho i loved DBZ because i couldnt careless that is live action, if the film would of come out with a different name and diff chars but same film maybe just maybe the outcome would of been different
