Hi,
I bought two Gameboy Macros (built off DS Lites) and one was missing a shoulder spring and I lost a spring to the other. I got a screw kit from ebay which included two identical (orientation and windings) springs. However, when I went to install them, I realized there's a problem.
With the console face down, the button on the left installs easily. I have the springs in the orientation where the arms are on top and the loop is on the bottom. In this case, the arm of the spring that gets tensioned and pulled into the slot, is at the bottom of the loop so it nicely stays put. However, the button on the right (which ends up being Left Trigger), has the arm coming out of the top of the loop and this makes it slip over the top of the slot. Are there supposed to be different L and R springs?
In the first picture, you can see how the spring is tensioned but sits nicely in the slot because it's low. In the other picture, you can see how it's high and wants to naturally pop out. Any help would be appreciated!
