Nah, but seriously, anything that comes out at this point is going to be a surprise. You're basically asking "so can anyone tell me about the thing that no one knows about?"

Because Nintendo can't just block games from working at all on their system with firmware updates.
I mean, they can, but then you alienate customers who legitimately have that game for playing it, who don't know about any of that stuff, who update their 3DS, and then their game permanently doesn't work anymore as they can't go back unless they bought another 3DS and kept it on lower firmware, which locks them out of eShop and NNID stuff.

Welllll they get their customers to buy games and then purposefully render them unplayable afterwards.
If not illegal it's still a highly stupid move given that it would make a lot of people mad who may just decide to ditch Nintendo altogether.

Also keep in mind this isn't only Cubic Ninja, it's Ocarina of Time 3D too.
