Hi! It is now possible to install the Homebrew Menu as a NSP File! Yeah you are hearing right. You can launch it from the Homescreen now.

It doesn't work on SX OS now but in ReiNX and Hekate. (The Devs are looking into the problem)
It also isn't that stable yet. Some apps might crash.
Since the SDK was used the file is illegal and can not be shared here.

UPDATE:
Some mod censored the therad. Just google for it. You'll find it.

Proof:

NOTE: I didn't made that software

Show us proof of you installing it on your system and running it in a video. No one is going to install a random users nsp without proof

Since OP posted it without details:

1. This only works in ReiNX currently, we are working on SX.

2. It is against temp rules to share a direct link to the nsp, as the SDK was used and thus the file is illegal.

3. This is not completely stable, expect crashes when launching certain apps.

It also works with hekate!

For those who have curiosity, I've been trying for some days to get libnx apps to work as nsps (and got the first one ever working).
Libnx is cofigured to run as an applet, we just have to modify that.
As @jjbredesen said the method for building the NSPs is illegal so NSPs cannot be shared here.
Obviously, not all apps work. I've tried porting SDL2 apps (such as my CustomUI example, which only draws) and none of them work. At least framebuffer drawing works, so some apps such as Pickr and hbmenu work. All console apps should work.
Exiting an app like "return 0" or "exit(0)", which is normally done, results in an error. Not because it fails, because retail games use this exits to exit due to an abnormal situation. Like in games, the best way to exit a libnx nsp app is going to home menu and closing it using X button.
Controls work fine, and looks like services too, as Tinfoil's NSP works perfectly.

See proof here:

I've updated the therad and added some info. (I was in school and saw it and just wanted to let you all know about it)

What's the point of it?
It's faster to launch it through the album applet since there is no loading time when you boot it, and no need to scroll to find your NSP if you have many games.

Can I boot the app in the normal OS, when I've installed it in ReiNX? Or is that not possible due to disabled signature checking?

I've also made another hbmenu NSP (yeah, I have the key of making NSPs) which loads the nro from the SD card (the other one loaded from romfs), if hbmenu gets updated. It's also released on WarezNX.
