Hacking Homebrew internet browser?

Does one exist?
I'm getting sick of waiting for nintendo to release a flash update for the wii browser.
Although i wouldn't be able to do it, it would seem kinda simple compared to all the other stuff out there.
Wouldn't you just be able to compile a linux browser or something?

Is it not possible to have these run directly off of the system menu?
I'm actually not familiar with any linux version, and wouldn't know how to install it.
What else do these linux packages allow us to do?

One browser has been announced to be getting worked on...wiisurf I think it's called.

I know of another that's not announced and in development too. Patience young grass hopper
