I have been working on a homebrew project that I would like to release for multiple platforms like: Wii, Gamecube, 3DS, PSP, Playstation 2, Linux, and maybe more. Each platform might have it's own group of people not looking in the other sections and I could of course open a thread for each of them....but they would all be about the same thing. I am creating a remake of an old PC platform game based on the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 engine and hope it will be good enough for others to use my engine for other things on multiple platforms.

Since this is a general question I won't go into more detail but I do have two threads about it already in the WII and PSP section but thought I should ask what is the common thing to do in this case.

If I were you, I would definitely post it on every appropriate console's forum - maybe only a couple every day (avoids getting you seen as an attention seeker, while also keeping the name around for longer) :)

What's clear is that there is no universally right or wrong way!

Yes post it in each forum it is available for. You should do this because some people only visit certain forums. Like myself I have not used the wii forum in years and haven't once been to the psp forum so I may then have missed your work.

Thank you both for answering my question if I could I would accept both your answers..which seems not possible from android btw...will do that when I am behind a PC later.

@Ryccardo : I already thought it might be best to post into the specific console forums, but worried it might look like 'wanting attention' as you put it. In a way I do maybe to just share what I am working on though ;)

@AmandaRose : I am glad you confirmed what I suspected about people only visiting their console specific forum.

I will only start a thread if the port is being worked on...so I added the 3DS since that is almost ready.
