Nice, but I'm not getting anything there. It's a 4-byte float, right?

It's 8 byte. I may have write down the wrong address, check in the neighbours: they are the first 8 byte of a group of 64 non zero byte in the middle of a large memory area of all zero values (if you did not played any game before checking memory of course ).

It'd be great if this could be better documented, for future's sake.

Let's give up guys, we didn't realize it would be a challenge. [/sarcasm]

Bro do you even study? i just see you talking about cheating in pokemon.
At least make an effort to learn a language. It's not so hard if you sit down and do it.

Is any expert knowledge on the 3DS (like hardware registers and such) neccesairy or is knowledge in C sufficient? I am asking this because I am concidering picking up regular C next to C# and other languages I am currently studying, and I am wanting to learn C for the purpose of 3DS development.

Well, technically, if you use the existing header files and understand the code inside already made homebrew, then you can make something using C.

So let me get this straight... we can now run any arbitrary code? Is it within the realm of possibility to write an emuNAND to run official fw versions without GW and maybe run arbitrary ROMs from the SD slot?

It has been for a while

Uh oh, you activated the "where do I copy roms" button

It would be theoretically possible with more work put into it, there is a few people who have enough knowlage to pull it off but I don't think they would be likely to share it even if they do find a way to do it......maybe once more public information is available for coders you might see some progress, but the only people releasing code ATM are people who are learning themselves

sorry for my inglis im spanish, if GW launcher contain modified Firm0 (how to decript it?),other dev we can modifi and launch similar for not require gw?

PD:for my more importand is a free "homebrew" (no warez )loader ,and the form of decript my nand (ctr-nandmount require xorpad but no idea to have this xorpad)

More like the "could we do on our own what GW's flashcart is doing as to make their product irrelevant" button.
Yeah but that in itself is a pretty big task, it's not as simple as "we can run our own code" = "we can load roms from SD slot"

Really I think loading eshop games would be more likely for loading games from the SD slot, but with the limited public homebrew capabilities I think even that is a fair bit away from being possible, who knows maybe something will be released tomorrow that will expedite the homebrew scene. But unfortunatly people always get the wrong end of the stick when someone says something is possible....meaning it "could" happen, and saying something is possible as in you can already do it

Maybe we should start a website of wiki page devoted to only this...
lol, I'm assuming that was sarcastic.

Lots of hardware knowledge is necessary at the moment because libraries aren't complete that interface with the hardware. But you can learn C now and by that time you'll have libraries to use and it will be much simpler. C# will most likely be useless for the 3DS.

I have a 3ds on original firmware, can I run this from my acekard?
If you mean that you're on OFW 1.0.x, then you'll need to update the console via a game cart to within the 4.1.x-4.5.x range.
After that, you'll be able to use the ROP exploit installer on your acekard, assuming it has the ability to run on 4.5.x.
