Hacking Homebrew Channel Upside-Down!

Hi guys! Got a problem and have no idea how it happened.

I installed 4.2E update through Waninkoko's firmware updater, eaverything turned out fine, all worked perfectly until I clicked on HBC, everything was upside-down!

So can anyone help? I have the latest HBC installed and 4.2E installed with Cios rev 14.

It depends from Wii to Wii. It's mostly IOS61. If you don't had it active when installing HBC it often uses IOS36. Don't know what happens after that.

I think the latest HBC uses IOS61.

I vaugely remember seeing IOS36 in the top corner before I updated.

Latest uses IOS61. I just used DOP-IOS to reinstall latest IOS61 without hash fix. Solved problem

Luckily, it searches for unmodified IOS versions on installation, and picks the most appropriate. For me, it was IOS36, the last Nintendo IOS that came with the signing bug, so my HBC runs on 36.

I had it upside down as well so I just updated my shop channel (V17 I think) and reinstalled and it uses 61 now

it does depend from wii to wii, but i think it matters more on the firmware theyre at.

either IOS36 or IOS61 should fix the problem.

No, they're not rude. Everyone is sick and tired of the same question(s) being asked over, and over, and over, and over, when a simple search would find the answer to said question(s) in a much timelier manner.

This is how i fixed mine.

Google IOS36-64-v1042.wad (you can also use NUS Downloader to get it(wiibrew wiki it))

use wadmanager to install it.

Problem solved.

People who made HBC are anal about piracy, and if the IOS that it's using to run off on has been patched (Waninkoko patches about all of the IOS's) their just saying a big F-U to you.

They started doing this in their latest HBC version.

Tell us if that worked.

This isn´t against piracy.
IOS36 is anyway not used for piracy peoples just trucha sign everything even if it´s not needed

and have side effects like here.

there is a direct answer, in about 30 different threads. however a new one of these pop up every other hour.

hbc loads upside down if you load it on a trucha patched ios.

(re)install a clean ios61.
if your hbc isnt using ios61(hit home and its in the top right corner), reinstall it using the hackmii installer.

Just downloaded and installed, hasn't seemed to work, will I need IOS61? Or shall I try NUS Downloader?

I seem to always have problems with anything I try to hack, had loads of problems installing HBC in the first place, and having trouble with YSmenu on R4i Gold, and now HBC is topsy turvy! Do I have bad luck or something?
