Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking Homebrew Channel problem

Hi

A few days ago I installed the Homebrew Channel using the ISO I burned on a DVD. The channel installed perfectly.
Now when I uninstalled the channel and tried to install it again, the Wii doesn't recognise it anymore. My Wii is also semi-bricked then, I can't go into the settings when the DVD is inserted. The weird thing is that when I insert another DVD, a backup one, my Wii does recognise it, I can play the game and I can go to my Wii settings.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I wish I've never uninstalled that damn channel in the first place.

Need to use a wad uninstaller, and the homebrew channel wad to properly uninststall from the Wii.

I believe you´ll have to reinstall it with the installer as well, but I´m not 100% on that.

I´m sure that´ll help, and that your Wii isn´t bricked.
