Hacking Homebrew Channel beta 9 update available.

i believe you need to have a cIOS installed for wad manage to run... if you don't have a cIOS then the homebrew channel is all you got, you can run pretty much anything that doesn't need a cIOS to run, such as the homebrew browser

So if I updated my wii accidentally and didn't do the cIOS before updating then I have to wait for a new work around in order to install a wad? Or do you know of anything I can get that will work and let me downgrade or change my cIOS.

yes if you updated without cIOS installed you have to wait for a new workaround for installing wads

only thing available if you updated is the HBC 9 beta for homebrew

Yes. That would be great! And pls. add USB support for dvd mplayer lib edition. At the moment it's the best looking media player at the wii.

Channels are not really necessary, you can just run applications through the hbc. If this new exploits gets out, Nintendo will patch it as soon as possible. So it's really better to keep it secret

The secrets are contrary to the spirit of the homebrew.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next update to MPlayerWii (not the dvdlib mplayer) includes SDHC support. After all they were quick to add USB support and did alot of great work regarding USB read speeds.

i would agree with that, just mplayerwii looks erm Terrible lol, never mind it certainly does the job people want it to

wad manager 1.3 did not display for me so i put 1.2 back on sd and it works fine, also iso unistaller does not show or anytitle deleter. are there any other programs that remove ciso that work on homebrew channle 9? i am not using 3.3 v2 im on 3.3 thanks

I accidentally updated to 3.3V2. I already have the GeckoOS & one of the earlier HBC beta's (I think it's the one before 8).
If I uograde to the HBCbeta9, will I use functionality of my GeckoOS channel? I need that channel for several games and don't want to screw things up.

Is there any way to update HBC beta 8 via a .elf or .dol? I try updating via the HBC auto-update but it wont work.
