Just reinstall the new homebrew... if you did it online maybe something happened during the download process? Being that the .9 had the network issues?
yeah Marcan said Beata9 had broken update feature, i just install beta 8 with ISO (due to my "pirates bug" if you check my thread)

Beta 8 updates correct as that does't have the broken feature like beta9, when i had beta 9, it wouldn't auto update, had to manually do the TP Hack...
well i updated from beta 9 to 1.0 and then to 1.0.1

nope it was my daughters fualt she removed the memory card without me knowing got to love 2 year olds lol

Lol, she managed that...blimey cant blame your kids hehe
my daughters only 6months, a right daddies girl, she takes control of this keyboard when she's on my lap, that's what causes all the spelling mistakes and bad grammar lol

Lol I had the same problem I was doing some stuff with my SD when back to the Wii booted into bubble with no apps I was like WTF pressing all the buttons reset the Wii still had the same problem then I realised the card was still in my other hand

I also updated from beta 9 to 1.0 to 1.0.1 with no trouble no gremlins today just my own stupidity

lol, i did that but my SD was in my pocked, and my other SD for testing purposes, my DIGICAMS assigned one haha was on the PC Desk, i was like WTF this is fucking crap this is! lol
We all have bad days, haha

Wiisel we both had that "mad" issue with the wii jumping into "recovery mode" by itself, that's weird shit, iv'e had a few "which craft" happening to me and my wii lol

the download to update keeps failing for me. the first time it got to 15% then failed, the next time it got to 50% then failed, the third time it went back to around 5% then failed.

anybody know what the problem is? should i just keep trying?

Edit: it finally worked. it took like 15 tries and every time it failed i had to exit the HomeBrew Channel and try again. that sucked.

no it really was her and i can`t blame her she was putting in my computer room so i could copy dora to it so she says i dont know she uses the wii more than me lol

Yesterday I tried to install HBC 1.01 via Twilight Hack to a friend. His Wii is new with 3.1E and "virgin" (not soft or hard modded).
After the installation, when asked to press 1 to return to the wii menu, it crashed with a green screen. I had to keep the power button pressed to turn off the console....However, when I turned the wii on the HBC was there, fully working.
Is it normal?
I have softmodded three wiis so far (for free, dont worry marcan hehe

) and never encountered such a problem.
The only thing I can say is that I forgot the Mplayer cfg file on the root of my SD card when running the installation, could it be the cause of the crash?

obviously a small bug, when i first installed the HBC, on old 3.3 the Code just stopped and crashed, then i did it again, and it proceeded, and installed perfect, so there is little bugs, but they're nothing, hard to find bugs....
thanks, let's hope so

I was just prompted to install it, so I accepted obviously. After pressing 1 agreeing to the installation, it's just stuck on "Checking System". Should I try again? I'm on 3.3E.

edit: nevermind. pressed 1 again, went on about signature, now it works.

if your not on 3.2x then downgrade... trust me... having starfall is brickprotection.
all other firmware versions are not necessary... 3.2u is the best!

yeah it is brickprotection, but still need a modchip in "some cases" even with TP and starfall

Yeah, when it said "Checking System", I thought it was already running. Waited a few minutes (which shouldn't have been), but nothing still so I rebooted it. On my last attempt, I just hit 1 anyways during that message, and VOILA.

Weird process, I'll say.
