Hi guys. I recently updated System FW to latest with Daybreak, but homebrew apps only work in title override mode now. Can I use cheats for a game that is on a gamecard (Skyward Sword), with EdiZon through title override in CFW (Atmosphere)?

Lacius said that homebrew apps shouldn't be run in Atmosphere Applet mode, and should be ran through title override instead. In Applet mode, none of my homebrew apps would run, kept throwing error 2144-0001 (0x290).
I am using latest Hekate and Atmosphere. Also, homebrew apps are updated (Checkpoint and EdiZon).
Thoughts and help appreciated :)

If u want to cheat in games applet mode is your only choice

Ok, but what about updating System FW through Daybreak? I updated Hekate and Atmosphere by just overwrting files on mSD card. I am not sure how to fix this...
U update system firmware like normal

If you installed any games or homebrew from an xci/nsp or used prodinfo blanking, getting the update files and using daybreak to update would be the best way.
If you just used cheats and homebrew you should be at no risk of getting banned by going online to update and updating the normal way or generally go online, as long as you don't cheat/romhack online.

you can use nsp version of the homebrew launcher, which will launch the full ram mode, you need to install firmware 12.x.x verion, if you don't want to use applet mode, some stuffs won't run on applet mode.

But keep in mind, thats not officially supported, since its not safe for normal online play to install homebrew as nsp, and holding R while starting another game or application is not really harder then starting the homebrew launcher as home menu tile.
I personally would even say holding R while starting another application is easier, since you can just start the first game you see. ^^

Well, not really, something called sysmodules can do without entering album
Oh yeah, the tesla overlay for edison for example.

Well who said you suppose to go online with a homebrew in the first place, it just a forwarder than launch the homebrew menu, I find it easier than holding down R to enter the homebrew menu.

You can, as long as you are not installing nsps or fuck with the online service in any way (cheating/hacking online), so its important information for people who are not intending to use backups.
I'm online with CFW for a few years now, always nice to have less framedrops online, or to stream in the discord what I'm currently playing ^^

Also the goal from Atsmosphere is exactly that, being able to go online with it, while allowing more than stock, the atmosphere devs are going online with their switches in cfw themself.

Well my post mention nothing about online play, just alternative way to enter homebrew menu that all.

Still its importent that its not officially supported, so people will not get support from the CFW and some homebrew devs, and installing it can't be easiely reverted, to that need to be know before installing a forwarder of any type.
Also a part of the thread had going online with cfw to update as a topic. ^^

It does it job of launching the homebrew menu so that is all, that is what OP wanted to know.
