ROM Hack Homebrew App Request: DS-Flashlight

What would be really nifty is a flashlight app for the DS. Basically it would be a program you could run that just displayed a white screen on both the bottom and top of the DS so that its light output in the dark would be maximized. Being able to have different brightness settings in the program like Kingdom Hearts: chain of memeories would be nice too.

I've used the DSL as a flashlight when loading stuff into the trunk of my car at night and it was pretty useful, its obscenely bright at the max settings, but I'm just looking to see how bright you can get it with the right program

why not just turn the ds on and leave it on the highest settings?

or load a ds game with the wrong software

i think that the screens can only go as bright as the highest level in the DS lite so it would be kind of pointless...use a game that has white screens, lol

You could probably easily program one that displays two images and then crashes.

Edit: Or better yet get a JPEG viewer

easy way to do it (requires flashme):
1. remove device from gba slot
2. turn on while holding A+B+X+Y
3. enjoy your nice white screens

I've discovered that booting a passme card without a gba flash cart also creates a dual white screen.

(I only have a ez4 lite and ezpass3)
