Quick question: I know that the full game of Hogwarts Legacy is not on the game card, effectively making the game a "key card". Is it possible to put the full game on a Mig Switch card and play that way?

Since it is keycard, wouldn't really be a valid dump even though you can try to convert to XCI but probably will get banned using it with the mig.

Key cards are a switch 2 thing, while the MIG is strictly a switch 1 thing (that some brave souls are using on a switch 2 despite the risks).
If you're referring to the switch 1 version of the game (released months ago) that has a day 1 patch then no, you can't put any patches on the MIG.

While officially the "key card" title is a Switch 2 thing, in reality, any game card where the entirety of the game data is not on card is a "key card". Sucks that patches can't be added to the game backup. In either case, thanks everyone for chiming in. I really wanted the Switch 1 version for "historical" purposes. The version available on other platforms will eclipse the S1 version and I enjoy seeing the changes that had to be made to get the S1 version to work.

What you are looking for already exists for the sw1... it's called Modchip.

The mig is just a "cartridge emulator" and requires a raw image of an existing physical cartridge: no physical cartridge with your wished contents = unable to have it in mig.
