So I didn't notice it at first but my Go makes this really high pitched noise, you hear it best at the back and it starts as soon as you power on the Go, is this normal? And if it is, Any way to stop it?

Yes, one of the options to get rid of it is get older. Un/fortunately, at 22 years of age, I still hear a 20KHz tone. And I do hear the high pitched noise in the back of my Go too, and it's not even at 20KHz, a bit lower than that.

If it's normal, then there shouldn't be a reason to stop it. If it's not, then we're bound to have a trip to a Sony service center? Meh.

That I have no clue; it's like that noise that old CRT TVs & computer monitors have when you turn them on.

On the hearing part: Humans generally lose the ability to hear high frequencies, I know someone who can only hear up to 14KHz now.
