Happy to join this community

I'm a gamer since the Sega Master System, and I have been a keen Sega enthusiast until the demise of the Dreamcast. Everyone at home is an avid gamer (wife and kids included) and we talk a lot about our gaming experiences, VG news and trends.

Considering my old age (hum hum), it's only natural that I am passionate about retro gaming. I started last year a collection of Sega Saturn games (sold mine when I was a teenager ), and this year is turning out to be the year of the PlayStations (1, 2 and PSP) as I am completing my collections for these systems. Since I live in Japan, it's very easy to snatch games in mint condition for a few hundred of JPY

I look forward to chatting with all of you!

You are moust likely my age (lol) and I was also a SEGA fan ( and now just a fan of some of their new IPs like Yakuza) .

I used to collect game consoles but I sold most of them. I lack patience to hock them up and play just for a few short session so nowadays I just use emulation for that.

It's also nice to meet a fellow retrogaming enthusiast

Yakuza is cool!

I enjoyed 1 and 2 very much, totally suffered through 3 (urg) and found some redemption in 4. Then I took a break

Finally did Judgement recently and this made me want to go back to the Yakuza series. Plan to do 7 / gaiden / 8 sometimes this year (maybe )

As for retro gaming, I honestly play more often via emulation. The visual improvements, quality of life features, hacks and patches... there's no match for me. I still enjoy going to 2nd hand shops and trying to find cheap games in good condition. And I try to limit my iso to the games I actually own, even if I know it doesn't change that much legally speaking...

Soy jugador desde la Sega Master System, y fui un gran entusiasta de Sega hasta la desaparición de la Dreamcast. En casa, todos somos jugadores apasionados (esposa e hijos incluidos) y hablamos mucho de nuestras experiencias con los videojuegos, noticias y tendencias de videojuegos.

Considerando mi avanzada edad (hum, hum), es natural que me apasionen los videojuegos retro. El año pasado empecé una colección de juegos de Sega Saturn (vendí la mía cuando era adolescente ), y este año está resultando ser el año de las PlayStations (1, 2 y PSP), ya que estoy completando mis colecciones para estas consolas. Como vivo en Japón, es muy fácil conseguir juegos en perfecto estado por unos pocos cientos de yenes.
