[HG/SS] Red as Protagonist

    At the end of 2010, I started a little project of mine.

    I decided to change the overworlds of Gold/Ethan into the overworlds of Red.

    What I managed to change:
    Walking
    Running
    Saving
    Fishing
    Surfing
    Cycling
    Climbing
    Using the Pokecenter
    Apricorns
    Pokethlon costume
    Team Rocket disguise walking
    Team Rocket disguise running
    Team Rocket disguise saving

    What still needs to be added:
    When using a Pokemon's HM
    Team Rocket disguise using the Pokecenter
    Battle back sprites
    Trainer mugshot/VS sprite
    Trainer sprite (for Trainer Card) - not needed

    I know there's 3 sprites/frames to the in-battle back sprite, but I couldn't find the third.

    I also changed the overworlds of Red atop Mt. Silver to Blue (just playing around). If it is possible for anyone to change the overworlds, trainer sprite, dialogue and battle team of Red (Mt. Silver), please comment.

    Oops, I totally blanked.

    Well, I guess someone could add everything from scratch. I had no experience and only watched one YouTube video and then added those overworlds myself.
    A person who is good with this stuff should be able to add them easily.

    Ok, I was asked to do the same, and I found where all those sprites are.

    a/0/0/6 backsprites
    a/0/5/8 frontsprites
    a/0/9/3 hm sprites
    a/1/0/9 mugshots
    a/1/9/3 hm sprites
    data-field_cutin.narc hm sprites

    For the hm sprites, I remember I had to change them in one file, but I can't remember which one, so just change them in all the files and it will work.
    I recommend using tinke to look for all the remaining files.

    You can't use btx editor, because they are not btx files, so I recommend watching this tutorial to change the sprites (this will work for all the graphics)

    Hey,

    Thanks for the reply.
    I'm currently editing the backsprites. I'll edit my post later and say how things went. *Fingers crossed it works out*


    EDIT: I need some help with the backsprites. When I opened it with Poke DS Pic, it gave 2 images for it, but then when I open it in TileMolester, you can see that there's more. How do I get the other frames?
    Also, in the part 2 of that video, at around 8:00, he starts to talk about specifics for trainer sprites, but I'm editing the BACK sprites. What do?

    I don't know how to see more than those two frames, so just edit the file in TileMolester. You can also use crystaltile2 if you want.

    About the backsprites, I remember you can adjust the view in TileMolester, but you also have to play jigsaw.

    Sorry, I did this a long time ago, so I can't remember very well, but for the parts I couldn't cover with the tools provided by Kazowar, I used crystaltile.
