Hey,

Has anyone else noticed the subtle blue and red shades on certain stats of your Pokemon (eg. Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack)? It doesn't appear on some, so scroll through your party, and see if you notice the labels of the stats changing.

I haven't figured out what the colours mean, I initially thought that the colours may relate to the natures of the Pokemon... but apparently this is not the case.

They differ depending on your Pokemon; eg) Croconaw's Speed stat is red, and its Defense stat is blue.

Can anyone explain the meaning of these colours, as I can't seem to find a relationship between the colour and the stats' value.

Thanks in advance.

It does relate to the pokemon's nature. For example a Modest nature increases the Sp.Attack by 10% but decreases their Attack stat by 10% also. The blue colour means that nature decreases the gaining of that stat= whilst the red means that stat will have more of an increase. There are also natures that are neutral thus there is no particular increase or decrease of a certain stat.

I did some research on natures and they don't really correlate.

Also some of the Pokemon only have a red stat without the blue, and vice versa. Explanation for this?

I just looked and I can see it, too.
However, all of mine (at least in my party) have both, the blue may be hard to see since the background is also slightly blue.

Playing on a DSi at max brightness in a dark room may help.
