Hacking Here we go again, this time for a N3DS

Several months ago I bought a o3ds coming with 4.5 and I installed rxtools. There wasn't a plethora of choices at that time: o3ds -> rxtools, n3ds -> cake or reinand.
One week ago I bought a used n3ds with 9.0 and sky3ds. Now I'm wondering what can I do with this device. Does rxtools work with n3ds now? Is it stable? Cake is better? And Reinand?

Go with Cakes or ReiNAND. They're currently more stable than rxTools on N3DS.

Stability issues? I use the 10/2 rx tools nightly and it seem perfect.

Well, it's not 100% stable yet. The developers have said that.

I see. For what it's worth I've never had a crash or problem yet. I was considering using the latest nightly but read the GitHub was messed up or something at the time. Who knows if it's restored yet lol

Meh. ReiNAND is N3DS-exclusive, at least the current version is. So...there's that.

Rxtool 10/27/2015 works very well on N3DS with CTRbootmanager and emunand 9.5. I run it with NTR3.0.cia and plugins for speed boost and cheats as well as my usual Ninjhax save tools.

Would retroarch run better under reinand vs rxtools? As far as I know the cfw simply allows unsigned cia and that's it.

My cfw is just a basic lightweight cfw. like probably 1/10th the size of rxtools, lol.. Personally I use it with NTR3 and its all i ever need.

I say go with whatever one suits your needs best. If you need a bunch of tools and extra features, pick a stable version of Rxtools. If you don't care for the fancy frills and extras, go with something more minimal like Reinand or Cakes.

Aaand... now that I have a sky3ds, should I follow this guide:

Go to 9.5 on your emuNAND so you can use Amiibos and have theme shuffling (if you care about those). No reason not to.
