I was about to open the black piece to put the ribbon in, and when I lifted it it the entire zif connector came right off. So I ordered new parts, they just got here yesterday and i need advice on getting them in good so I don't mess it up again

If you broke the black piece then your zif connector is broken.

I ment the 4 pin connector, so i got replacement ones. Those are the parts in the pic

So is the black plastic on the zif connector still there or not?
