Hacking Help with X-box 360 hacking

Hello!I am planning on buying an Xbox 360 and I want to hack it.I would prefer to play games through an HDD drive.I would like to know how I can hack an Xbox and what does it require.Thanks in advance.

If you're only out to play games from the HDD then I'd suggest getting an ODDE.
This will allow you to stay connected to XBL and play backups at the same time.

I have a launch day 360 phat and I was wondering if I get the Xkey do I still have to flash the drive still or is it basically plug and play?
If I do get one I'll still be able to connect to Live correct?
Can I still get banned or is it undetectable?
Do I have to patch the ISOs to play online?

You'll only need to extract the DVD key.
Yes Live is still available (but beware of updates)
Yes there is a possibility of getting banned but if you patch your backups then that possibility is pretty much none.
Yes even offline ones.
ALWAYS patch them, if you don't then the chances of getting banned are significantly higher and newer games won't even boot.

depends on your drive type. every drive has a different method. if its a launch model, its probably a samsung or toshiba or maybe even hitachi. you will have to look up the method for your specific drive type. lite on needs a special tool, but its very simple to construct. benq drives are plug in and extract. but you need to have a compatible sata chipset to extract dvd keys.

You can do it with a normal PC (if you have the right SATA chipset) and your 360 as power but I highly advice against it.

Edit: You'll also need Jungleflasher if you want to do it yourself.
Jungleflasher comes with a manual on how to extract DVD keys for every DVD drive type.
