if it "can" brick your console, wouldn't you already know it if you have that issue too ?

if the issue bricked the console, then your console would be already bricked if, like you claimed, you have that issue. (no idea which issue you are talking about. You know, we don't have working crystal balls)

I tried to download IOS 58 WAD to play Nintendont with Wii U gamepad but my console just freezed when finishing and i plug off the console. After that Nintendont works perfectly but i cannot open Homebrew Channel or USB Loader GX.

I don't have a Wiiu, but just reading Nintendont's main thread, I see this. (The bottom 2 lines in bold are for you)


"IOS58 is not the correct version on Wii!
It means you are using an outdated IOS58 on your Wii and need to update it.
IOS58_installer from Tantric doesn't install the correct and latest version.
To update your IOS58, you need to find the correct file version. You can extract IOS58-64-v6176.wad from a game's disc (wiixplorer), a game's ISO (Wiiscrubber), or download it with modmii or NUSD.
Install IOS58-64-v6176.wad using a wad manager which is NOT patching the IOS. If your HBC is upside down, reinstall the Wad using a different wad manager.

THIS IS NOT FOR vWII on WiiU !!!! NEVER INSTALL IOS58 MANUALLY ON YOUR WIIU!
THIS IS ONLY AN ERROR ON OLD WII !

Will this fix my vwii? I made the mistake of installing regular Wii wads and now I have a black screen when I go to boot vwii.

If you have a NAND Backup of vWii you have a big chance to fix it.

where did you get your IOS58 ? you properly followed the dump method when softmodding vWii for the first time? or got a random file from random place?
which version of YAWMM ? old or fix94's version?
launch using which method? hbc or exploit?
from where ? vii or injected wiiu channel ?

hello from méxico! i literally spent 7 hours non stoping trying to do everything you said, but somehow i still having a problem, it turns that every single time i try to install the IOS (wich i get from another Wii U) keeps telling me that´s been an error...

Im getting crazy! i semi bricked my console beacuse i used Pimp my wii and now i know i need the clean IOS 15 for my vWii!!

i can´t post pictures yet, but the error is " (red = -1022) "

I tried inyecting the channel via Wii U, i tried with smash exploit, i´ve tried with ios 236, 249, 250, and still nothing, i dumped the IOS with "Yet Another Bluedump Mod" using IOS 250 as base, even dumped IOS 15 in 3 different ways and still getting this error

I tried with Wii and WiiU Channel, using Old YAWMM and fix94´s version
I tried with exploit via smash stack and hbc

i dumped the IOS from a friends Wii U, can you help me ???

if the dumped IOS are clean (using bluedumpMod with no patching) then you can just use the wad and reinstall it on your console using the injected WiiU channel method.

Hallo Community,

i got the same issues too, because of non working network on the vwii i try to changed some IOS´s with NUSD but that would make the situation bad. Even with the unbrick method from another Thread it won´t work. The completly vwii was failed, my bad.

My question is when i delete everything (factory Setting) would this also with the vwii?!?

factory reset is not deleting or "reseting" the IOS.
if it's bricked, it'll be even worse because you'll just remove "user added" channels and settings. meaning you'll delete the homebrew channel which could be useful. you'll delete hacks and not restore the "factory" state.
