When I play my Brawl backup with BUL 0.3 gamma with Ocarina on and set to Vi , It gets to where it says: "Sd codes found. Applying," but does nothing after that, the game doesn't even load, I have the waninkoko cIOS rev 7. I searched everywhere, I haven't been able to fix the problem. I can play the backup without cheats, other ones work as well, cheats just don't work. Can anyone help me?

I am sure they are from the right region, and I will try with only one cheat to see if it works. Thank you. But is there anything else that could cause this, because I don't think too many cheats is the issue I'm having. Thanks in advance.

cheats on brawl where really iffy for me. some codes just plain lock it up, others work great until you add another code. The only other thing i can think of is to make sure you dont have anything hooked into the gamecube slots

Thanks, I shall try later if they work, seeing I don't have my sd card reader right now, and don't want to ftp right now.

@nitr8, When there's a will, there's always a way, I suppose. Arent there any other SDL libraries that are up-to-date to support the Wii, or other compatibles?
  • nitr8 @ nitr8:
There exists a SDL2 port to the Wii. But as far as I can tell it's worse than the SDL v1.2 port. I couldn't even manage to get the 32x240 screen of the game stretched to the 640x480 viewable region of the port. It would only work when using game resolution 640x480 as well but due to the game video being run as software emulation, it just runs slow with anything higher than 320x240

I mean - I'm fine with the original DOS feeling of 320x240 pixels. There's nothing wrong about it. It just feels more "original". DOS resolutions like 640x480 were based on VESA anyway like BLOOD actually used VESA for screen resolutions > 640x480
