I just bought a ps3, with a not working disk drive, and without hard drive, for dirt cheap, and obviously it doesn't boot up (three bips and blinking red). Is it worth it to fix it by buying an HDD mount and inserting an hdd or maybe it won't work anyway? I don't know, I have read about Ylod and something like that, so I was wondering if my console is fixable or not. It's a fat CECH-C04.

No. It is a crap. Get a cheap PS3 SLIM then. Not worth! Trust me.
