But still very funny to see this in a commercial product.

    Which is repurposed for it

Guess they couldn't be bothered to fork out a new LCD screen of their own.

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
They probably manufacture their own screen but why if older tech quantity is just laying around unused

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
They don't want it to go to waste, probably that's why.

Source ports are hard enough, but sourcing parts in 2022? Impossible.

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
Emulation doesn't need high end power houses to be enjoyable

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
If its to do with hardware from 80s to early 90s then that's fine, but for the 64-bit systems then that could be an issue.
  • Shape @ Shape:
Yeah! All you need to enjoy some emulation is an old PC and some mind altering substances!

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
Not really I wouldn't even consider the SteamDeck a powerhouse tbh

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
@Shape, Don't know about that last part, but still, a PC with decent specs should do the job.

  • Shape @ Shape:
I consider the steamdeck a powerhouse because it can run Unity in windows mode without crashing repeatedly...

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
It just has bare minimum requirements to make it enjoyable and a fair MSRP which you can get a decent pc for $400 still

  • Shape @ Shape:
    lol I don't do drugs

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
$400 is really nothing when it comes to hardware

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
    I knew you wouldn't lol

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
Back in the 90s you could expect to drop at least a grand for what was considered bare bones back then
    +2
  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
The ps1 back then still sold at $300

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
I've got two of them. If I had them in the 90's, then I'd be the coolest on the block.

I've got the shell for another PS1 that I am thinking of assembling to form another PS1 to my collection.

  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
The fact we have so many affordable devices that can do emulation today is overlooked and unappreciated by many

  • M4x1mumReZ @ M4x1mumReZ:
Just got to buy the motherboard for it and I'll be good to go.

  • Shape @ Shape:
Turn the shell into something else, something amazing!
