Homebrew help with cfw new 3ds using devmenu

ok so I been trying to get devmenu to work with my 128gb microsdcard an the only way I can get it to work is If I decrease the storage down to 90gb using a formatter program but is there a way I can get the program to work without having to format my sdcard to that file size? because how can I use a 200gb microsdcard or higher if devmenu will not work? I read somewhere someone said in order for devmenu to work it had to be formatted to 90gb if im using a 128gb so how does this work for devmenu on 3ds is there anyway around this or am I missing something? because when I install devmenu when I am fat32 128gb without decreasing storage to 90gb devmenu installs but once I boot it up I get a black screen on top but bottom is black with text saying the system must reboot with some sort of error, then when I went back on my pc an formatted the microsd card to 90gb, fat32 devmenu works so what could be the problem with devmenu? im on cfw an I dont see why devmenu wont work unless my 128gb sdcards formatted to 90gb for permanent storage? so can anyone help me with this issue?...

Use FBI.

Fbi doesnt allow installing files that are bigger then a gb. Where as devmenu allows installing a game that is around 3 to 4 gb with no fail.

I installed a 1 GB game with FBI a few months ago and it worked fine

I have installed plenty of large games with FBI?

FBI easily allows up to 4gb games to install without hassle. I dont see why yours is giving you issues.

@Brett13500 I think you need to test your SD card for defects - I think your issues all stem from your SD card rather than the software you're using. Try h2testw.

A 3DS does not randomly delete files. Have you checked your SD for defects and/or fake? If it is a card with fake memory size you can get this kind of behavior.

1. Copy all your data from the SD to a computer.
2. Reformat the SD to FAT32, 32kb cluster size, if bigger than 32GB and using Windows with guiformat.
3. Check the freshly formatted SD: Windows, Linux, OS X.
   • If you get any errors replace the SD.
   • If you get no errors copy your files back on the SD and try again.

Heed their advice, @Brett13500. People all too often ignore checking their SD cards because they don't think there's anything wrong with them.
