Homebrew Help with CATSFC

I am having trouble with Usig cheats for CATSFC/any SNES emulator that can be used with a 3ds. My problem is that I absolutely cannot load any cheat files. I've downloaded the mightymo pack, tried those and they freeze, and I've also tried creating my own cheat files, to no avail. I can't find any information on how to even actually get cheats to work with the emulator. Anyone else have these issues and actually solve them? Any help would be appreciated.
