Gaming Help updating from 5.50 Gen B2

Whenever I try to update it to Gen d the screen just goes black and if I turn it off after that when I turn it back on it is still at 5.50 gen b. It is a psp 1001. What am I doing wrong?

Are you trying to go to GEN-D or GEN-D2?

Install B2 first.

B has problem with sertain homebrews.
One of them being the updater to D.

From B2 you will be able to install to D and then to D2.

It says that it is gen b on it but I installed gen b2 and it is doing the same thing.

thats because it doesnt change when you install GEN B2.
