ROM Hack [HELP] SNES VC Decrypting doesn't work

Hey @squee666 this is new all the injecting stuff but what are the possiblities of injecting saves into them?
possibility is Nil the saves are a weird format also due to the fact they savesate aswell

ToP is weird. The UMK3 works fine using the 48mbit mapper, but for some reason ToP hangs. Maybe it's a result of the translation patch. I haven't tried to JP version yet. Still trying to fix illusion of Gaia.

what offset value are you using for 0x33 (for rom size)

I was using 58 (48mbit), 80(64mbit) at offset 0x33 since I wasnt sure whether it would work as a 48mbit rom or to use the whole filesize calculation.
 
I thought Tales of Phantasia had a special chip (like star Ocean) and thats the reason we cant inject it.

Unfortunately. I think there may be a cap on how large a rom the 3ds will parse. Probably 4mb :/

which makes no sense as chrono trigger loads patched and its 6MB it just gets to a certain point though and stops, we missing something to do with ExHiroms just like we had with Hiroms
 
Has anyone found a way to access the save files for these SNES VC titles using Smealum's HBL? I want to use a previous Earthbound save on my New 3DS.

I haven't had any time to work on it because I've been moving, but once I settle in I do plan to continue working on this. My free time has been dedicated to moving and finishing homework, so my projects have been pushed off to the side for the time being. (That is, right now it's just reading ROM info so it's not complete yet, it isn't even set up for data.bin generation at all in the least.) I've been looking into ExHiROM, but I'm not sure how to properly detect the format from a regular HiROM, so that's been rather interesting. I can't find any documentation on what exactly is the difference between a regular HiROM and an ExHiROM, and it's that distinction that I need to find so that I can programmatically detect those kinds of ROMs.

Oh and apparently ExLoROMs also exist, but that seems to be in a league of its own.

Could anyone provide me with the extracted/dumped ROM for EarthBound (E)?
I am looking for it for research purposes, mainly comparisons between Mother 2 and EarthBound and all their released versions (3DS VC, SNES, SFC, Wii U VC, etc).

Someone could PM with the dump, please?
 
has anyone been able to successfully inject the EB Halloween hack? I want to play it again, but I don't know if there's a way to inject saves along with the rom..
 
Sadly enix games like terranigma or illusion of time doesn't work. I got around the pal > ntsc problem but there is no sound and graphic problems.
 
Early on in this thread I saw people having trouble decrypting these eShop titles and then, once it was discovered that they are available crypto-fixed on various websites, all talk of decrypting seems to have stopped. Can anyone help me decrypt these titles myself? I do not want to download them off a website but want to decrypt and unpack my own legitimately purchased titles. I am trying to decrypt and unpack the eShop version of Earthbound on my N3DS. I used cearp's eShop toolkit to download and pack an encrypted version of the game as a .cia and .3ds. Then I copied the .3ds version to my D9Game folder and tried using Decrypt9WIP all-in-one 20160309 to run NCCH/NCSD Decryptor. It processes it and detects that it is a Secure4 Seed game. Then when it is verifying, it says that ExHdr was OK but ExeFS and RomFS failed. I have all of the correct key files stored on the SD card (an updated seeddb.bin, slot0x1BKeyX.bin, slot0x11key96.bin, and slot0x25KeyX.bin). I've updated my seeds.db using Decrypt9WIP and am trying to use Decrypt9WIP to perform the decryption. I've also tried performing decryption of the .cia file but I get the same bad result. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Anyone here can tell me where to find the title keys & IDs for Virtual Console games?
I can't seem to find them anywhere.
Or has someone been able to get Mother 2 from the Jap VC?
 
I don't have the titleids handy but you can just download an official cia release and run it under fbi to find the info you need?

I keep trying to insert audio into my banners but it always sounds like blips. I wish I could make them as professional looking as squee666.
