I guess you're talking about Real Time Save? If you still have the default RTMenu settings then make sure you press L+R+START to access the FULL RTMenu and as long as you have enough room on your SD card left then it should save fine. I think you are using L+R+SELECT to access the Part RTMenu which has the RTS function disabled.
