this happened to me recently i just bougt a new switch off ebay and replaced the old one
(you any good with a soldering iron coz you will need to be) its not really all that hard to do
you just have to mind the components around the switch so you dont melt them

if you still have the broken peice, try to dab it in less glue then needed because that is usually the right ammount. put it back on and just try turning it on and off for like 5 min straigt. keep your case open during this time so If it brakes you can either, try again, or by the replacement part

a freind of mine fixed his by aralditing a small screw into place on the slide so it caught in the hole in the power switch that worked for about 6 months

This is the method and part I used. You will need to be very skilled with your soldering iron to do this right. Of course, depending on the compatibility of the hardware, you could just desolder the two tabs on the ends, remove the metal cover and replace the internal components with the good ones from the ordered switch (thanks Joey90!).

My main advice is to be patient (and stop shaking, lol). I was not very patient when I was desoldering and I nearly ruined my motherboard. In order to fix it, I had to do some intense precision soldering and my shoulder has been sore for days (I had to hold the iron in a very awkward position to do it right).
