Help on 3DS prices...

I don't like it, but outside of the 2DS style models (maybe New XL as an exception) annoyingly will continue to go up. For a time largely due to free money being thrown around with the lockdown, and the stigma of being the last dedicated only a handheld device from Nintendo the systems never lost value from the start(which was unique) but the games shot up stupid as well. Yet there seems to have been a pretty stark divergeance in the pricing between the handheld (still going up) and the games which seem to have dropped a lot and maybe are or have bottomed out or as much as they will for the near future? I remember seeing games at second hand retail that were like $60, $80, $100 used and they're like 1/2 that now at the same stores.

I'd say just bite the bullet, get a clean as a system as you can, a New XL model of some sort for the better boost in processor, total memory, overall performance and the built in little 2nd joystick nub and go from there. You can hack it (I choose not to, have enough stuff, and no time) or not and still do fine with the big pile of games for 3DS (AND DS) out there.

I only got back into it maybe 2 years ago, double good luck a month apart as I got a spotless oriignal midnight purple looking 3DS for like $80, and then right after a new black new 3ds xl unit which is mostly spotless other than some weird peeling on the back plate. If I could find a 1:1 copy or original, I'd swap it as it bugs me a lot but when someone throws out $100 and it's yours, it's mine.
