I need some help getting Linux to run on my PS4 Slim with FW 6.72, here's what I do:

Option A - I run JB and MIRA (either via LAN or cbps.xyz), then I go to cbps.xyz/672/tests/ and click on "PS4 Linux Payload".
After some seconds I get the message "PS4 Linux Bin has been loaded" (or something similar), then the web page reloads and NOTHING happens.

Option B - I run JB and MIRA via LAN and then I launch NETCAT, run NetcatGUI and send the Payload to the PS4 after which I get a message saying "not enough memory".
The webpage reloads and NOTHING happens.
I use this .bin payload: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11DV4hN_LGm2a2MJi9LdPuZbT84ZR23In/view
Which (supposedly) is a compiled binary of this code: https://github.com/ethylamine/PS4-Linux-Loader/tree/6.72

- Sometimes I only run JB and then launch the payload (via either of the methods), sometimes I launch both JB and MIRA. Results are the same.
- Sometimes I run JB/MIRA via local server, sometimes I use cbps.xyz, the results are the same (except that LAN has better success rate in JB/MIRA).
- What I mean by NOTHING happens, I mean it literally. The PS4 does absolutely nothing. It doesn't shutdown or reboot, it doesn't crash.
Matter of fact I can continue to use it normally (I can install FPKG, run unsigned homebrew, go into sleep mode and back, etc).

If anyone here has any idea what could be wrong or shed some light I would appreciate it.

EDIT: Got it working! Thanks to mircoho for his payload (hosted at https://ps4boot.github.io/). I used this kernel: https://www.psxhax.com/threads/ps4-...-3-7-with-baikal-chip-patches-via-iguy0.7263/

i eventually will be experimenting with linux on 6.72 and do have experience on 5.05 and earlier firmwares.

Sounds like you are quite noob. no offense. So like we need a little more info.

I cant get linux to work form those files. I ripped the linuxloader.js from that site and tried it and it does not work. Instant Kpanic when the payload loads, the same for the bin file too.
I know the linux payloads sometimes Kpanic instead of rebooting but I tried them 5 times each and nothing.
I might just have been unlucky but I think they might just be bad payloads.

@Acid_Snake That website also has other payloads that don't work too. Some people just see a payload and add it to their site without even knowing if they work or not.

@seanp2500 When you start messing with Linux on 6.72 and you find a working payload give me shout on here, I'd like to try it out too.:)

That works. Cheers bud.:)

you used ver4 and have you tried running off a esp8266?
Yes and yes.
ver4 is the most stable yet and it only takes about 10 seconds to load vs ver3 which was almost 2 minutes.LOL
I've tried c0d3m4st4's esp and that works well too. I'd suggest trying it if you use an ESP.

At the moment I'm using my own files which I'm constantly changing to try and get the best and most stable experience.. I've now modified the code to load .bin and .elf files directly like the old exploit loaders did which is a great bonus.

Things are definitely getting better for 6.72.:)

*the linux loader is without GPU Firmware Dump. Firmware is compiled in the gentookernel ***
This one does the same thing. It loads but doesn't reboot (the console continues to operate normally).

This one seems to work. Console reboots but crashes some minutes after (no image displayed on screen, tried different monitors and JB only or JB+MIRA).
I am using this Gentoo distribution: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ps4-gentoo-by-mircoho.556463/

Sounds like you are quite noob. no offense. So like we need a little more info.
No offense but you jumped to conclusions very quickly. I'm not a noob with Linux nor console hacking. Most of these tools have not been fully updated or tested and documentation online is not the best.

sorry man but you left out alot of info (like image blah blah) i honestly said no offense and wasn't sure. All in all i am actually trying to help. So if it crashes though oddly enough aren't we still at the same question I asked ya know what I mean? What image and how you are booting. I wonder if there is a no usb payload. I know sometimes it is people's monitors. Good luck!

I know you try to help and I appreciate it. What I mean is that it's not the same to help a noob than helping someone who knows. I don't mind if you get technical and such. If you treat me like a noob you might be limiting your own ability to help me out.

Either way I edited my post as I finally solved it using mircoho's link (https://ps4boot.github.io/), though I do have a few issues if anyone can shed some light on it:

- Internet doesn't work (at all). Wifi isn't detected, USB tethering (Android phone) doesn't work. Haven't tried ethernet (I can't due to the console being far away from the router).

- The page to load it (https://ps4boot.github.io/) crashes a lot. It gives me an "out of memory error", the page reloads and whole console crashes. It takes quite a few tries until it works. Note that I enter the site after doing the jailbreak.
