Don't worry, it's a burn-in effect and it'll be gone after some screen-on time (leave it on a game or something).
I really hope so.. been running the OoT3D intro for the past 10 minutes, but I don't see any improvement. The flicker is only on the right side of the screen, and its like a rectangle (in total taking up maybe 25% of the screen).

pull the battery for 10 mins my 3DS did this once and that solved it
Will do, thanks for the suggestion

I know because this occurred to me while testing Luma (FIRM crashed early and I had a burn-in on part of the screen, was already thinking of needing to replace it). If you leave the screen on for 30m or something it'll gradually fade away.

After 1hr of N3DS testing, there were no errors.
Right now I'm testing it on a normal 3DS (which has no screeninit) and I think I'll let it run overnight.
The problems with the screen indeed disappeared over time, luckily :)
